Hope is You - Kaiya's Heart Sequel ~Chapter 18~

I was editing some photos I had taken for a shoot which was going to be in the next copy of the magizine, working silently and forgetting to bring my head phones made working even more tedious. Derrick had placed a small sticker on the front of my desk which red "baby on board" and as much as it annoyed me I payed attention to my work. That was until I heard running foot steps running toward me, I looked up to see a small girl with blonde hair running up to me, I smiled largely as she approached me.

"Kaiya!" She said excitedly as she hugged me.

"Hey Leila. What are you doing here?" I asked kissing her cheek softly and hugging her.

"Dad has an interview with the magazine here and when I saw you I wanted to talk to you," she said smiling.

"Wait your dad and Escape the Fate is here?"

Leila nodded. Craig Mabbitt lead singer of Escape the Fate is and was my in some sorts my babysitter when I was younger, forced to look after me when I was 7 and my brother was sent to a reform school. At first he hated it but after a while he came to reliese that I needed a friend and he became that friend, even though he was older than me. After his daighter, Leila, was born I spent time with her wanting to repay Craig by being his daughter's baby sitter, if anything Craig and Ashley combined were both better brothers than my own. I talked to Leila as I continued editing the photos, she watched everything I did with utter confusion since she didn't know what was going on on the screen. After a few minutes Derrick walked into the main work area with a man with him talking about some things as they walked over to me and Leila.

"And this is Kaiya, she handles more of the photoshoots. She is in her second and last year of a photo journalist class in College," said Derrick proudly in a sense however I had no idea why.

"It's nice to meet you Miss?" the man said holding out his hand.

"Uhh... Vaughn," I said after having the small stupid moment.

"Miss Vaughn," he said smiling, "it seems you have alrady met Leila."

"I've known Kaiya since I was younger!" Leila protested.

"Hehe, alright Leila," the man said rubbing the back of his head as if he was unsure.

I then saw a famailar face who gave a strange face and literally ran to me, and then clung me into a hug.

"Hi," he said in all seriousness.

I laughed lightly, "hey Craig."

"Craig this is your photographer for the shoot," said the man, who I then asumed was the manager.

"You!" Craig said looking at me excitedly.

"Yeah..." I said nervously.

"Aw awesome! We need to catch up while we are in LA at somepoint," Craig said and wrote his mobile number on my notepad.

I nodded to him with a smile, he then took Leila's hand as Derrick guided them out of the building. I got one final wave before they exited the building, I build my phone out of my pocket and entered Craig's number into my phone.

Once I got home, I grabbed my bag from the car and began heading inside. I grabbed the door knob and twisted, once it opened I found Crow sitting on the floor just behind the door. Swishing his tail softly, I smiled lightly and knelled down and stroked him softly. I then looked up and saw Andy leaning over the railing of the staircase.

"Hey honey," he said smiling largely as I walked over to the staircase and pressing a kiss to his plush lips.

"How was your day?" he asked as he walked down the rest of the stairs.

"Good~ I saw some old friends of mine since I am going to be photographing them for the magazine."

"Aw that's cool!" Andy said happily, "Who is it?"

"Craig Mabbitt from Escape the Fate and his daughter. And they want to have a day to catch up with me and also so they can meet you," I said as I opened the cupboard and pulled out some peanut butter then went to the cheese and got some beetroot and made a sandwhich.

"Awesome..." Andy said trailing off as he watched me make the sandwhich, "Cravings?"

"It tatse good!" I protested.

"Okay, okay," Andy said kissing my cheek softly as he went to his acoustic guitar and begin to play and jot down the notes.
