Christmas time was one of your favourite times of the year, and also your least favourite time, especially when you were all alone. It was Christmas eve and you were waiting to see if your fiancee Ricky to hopefully come home for Christmas. His band Motionless in White had been touring for what seemed like a whole year now, promising you that he would be home for this Christmas, but however at the moment it seemed as though it wasn't going to happen. Sighing, you continued to walk through the supermarket at a leisurely pace while other shoppers hurried around to get all the goods they needed for their Christmas dinners. You walked down another aisle when you saw someone hurry up to you.
"(Y/N)!" someone exclaimed as they pulled you into a hug.
Once you were released from the hug you saw Ryan a close friend of yours and the person who introduced you and Ricky. Ryan was dating Josh Balz or just Balz who played keyboard for Motionless in White with Ricky, and even though you knew Ryan was excited to see you she also seemed sad as well.
"Hey Ryan," you said awkwardly, "what's up?"
"Oh just normal things," she replied upbeat.
You then looked down at the shopping basket in her hand and saw a little nose poke out from underneath a jacket, "did you bring T into the supermarket again?"
"Yes! But make sure no one hears," Ryan said stage whispering making you laugh.
You both fell silent after a moment, moving out of the way when shoppers walked past to get the goods from the shelves.
"Balz said it is slim but they might get home tonight," Ryan said after a few minutes.
"What?" You asked not paying attention from zoning out.
"The guys might be home tonight," she said again with a smile.
You felt as though a large burden had been taken off your shoulders as a large smile formed on your face, even knowing that it was that they may be home was better then not knowing at all. After saying a goodbye to Ryan you left to finish with your Christmas decorations, you got into your car ready to head home, happy knowing that Ricky could be home getting back home tonight. After going to a few more stops to give friends some Christmas cards and getting a few more last minute supplies you headed home, pulling into your drive way where you could see a small light being emitted from within the living room. Grabbing the groceries and other supplies you walked cautiously into the house placing everything down once you entered, you then grabbed a baseball bat which sat next a small table in the hall before heading into the living room. You paused when you saw who was in the living room, candles filled almost every surface within the living room, the light on the Christmas tree were turned on and in the middle of all of this was a man in skinny jeans, a regular old t-shirt and a beanie on his head and a light touch of eye make-up around his eyes. Your fiancee.
"Hey (Y/N)," Ricky said quietly as he walked over to you.
You stared at him before a large smile plastered on your face and you ran to him, "Ricky!"
He laughed and caught you in his arms spinning you around before pressing a deep passionate kiss to you lips.
"I'm so glad your home, Christmas wouldn't be right without you here," you said with you head against the crook of his neck.
"What about today though?" he asked curiously.
You leaned back a small bit to look at him with a questioning look, smiling he kissed you again.
"I wanted to be home today for our anniversary," Ricky said, guiding you to sit on the couch.
Ricky got his acoustic and began to play it for you, once he had finished he helped you place all the things you had brought earlier away. You placed something above the living room entrance and waited to Ricky had finished in the kitchen.
"What are you doing?" he asked as you just stood there.
"Mistletoe," you said and pointed up to the small plant.
Smiling, Ricky walked over to you and pulled you into his arms before placing a long tender kiss upon your lips.
